All the International Students desirous of seeking admission into any Undergraduate, Post Graduate, Professional, CCEFS and Ph.D. Courses are required to apply for admissions as per the dates mentioned below:

DEFINITION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS (INCLUDING OCI / PIO) AND INDIAN NRI STUDENTS:

INTERNATIONAL /FOREIGN STUDENTS: 

International/Foreign students are the students holding passport issued by foreign country including Persons of India Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) who have acquired the nationality of foreign countries.

NON RESIDENT INDIAN (NRI) STUDENTS: (with effect from 2012-13)

Non Resident Indian (NRI) students are the Indian Nationals studying abroad. They must have had at least three (3) years of Education in any foreign country during the last six (6) years and must pass the qualifying examination (inclusive of 11th & 12th standard or equivalent) from abroad only.

[Adopted as per the guidelines of DASA Scheme (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) 2011-12 for the admission into NITs]

NRI students are eligible for admission into B.E. /B.Tech. Courses only. Only those NRI students who fulfill the above criteria are allowed to apply for admission into B.E. /B.Tech. Courses.

Requirements For Provisional Admission:

U.G. COURSES & CERTIFICATE COURSE IN ENGLISH FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS (CCEFS):

  • Registration-cum-Prospectus fee in the form of Demand Draft for INR 9,500/- (Indian Rupees Nine Thousand Five Hundred Only) drawn in favour of ‘DIRECTOR, UFRO, OU’ from any Nationalized Indian Bank, payable at Hyderabad.
  • 2 COPIES of high school/10+2 certificate.

(Please enclose the original language version and the translated version of the Certificates and marks sheet duly attested by the Ministry of Higher Education/concerned Embassies).

  • Original NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) obtained from the the Institute/University where the candidate last studied if such a course was pursued in India.
  • 2 SETS of all pages of Passport of the candidate. (Including empty pages).
  • One Passport size photograph of the candidate. 

NOTE:  The full name of the candidate is taken from the High School certificate /10+2 certificate. Hence, the candidate’s name on the certificate should inevitably match with his/her name in the Passport. This office shall not accept any discrepancies in the name of the candidate.

P.G. Courses

  • Registration-cum-Prospectus fee in the form of Demand Draft for INR 14,500/- (Indian Rupees Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred Only) drawn in favour of ‘DIRECTOR, UFRO, OU’ from any Nationalized Indian Bank, payable at Hyderabad.
  • 2 COPIES of the Certificate and marks sheets of the Undergraduate course
    (Please enclose the original language version and the translated version of the Certificates and Marks sheets duly attested by the Ministry of Higher Education/concerned Embassies).
  • 2 COPIES of the High School/10+2 Certificate-
    (Please enclose the original language version and the translated version of the Certificates and Marks sheets duly attested by the Ministry of Higher Education/concerned Embassies).
  • Original NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) obtained from the the Institute/University where the candidate last studied if such a course was pursued in India.
  • 2 SETS of all pages of passport of the candidate. (Including empty pages).
  • ONE Passport size photograph of the candidate.

Ph.D Courses

  • Registration-cum-Prospectus fee in the form of Demand Draft for INR 16,500/- (Indian Rupees Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Only) drawn in favour of ‘DIRECTOR, UFRO, OU’ from any Nationalized Indian Bank, payable at Hyderabad.
  • 2 COPIES of the Certificate and marks sheets of the Post-graduate course.
    (Please enclose the original language version and the translated version of the Certificates and Marks sheets duly attested by the Ministry of Higher Education/concerned Embassies).
  • 2 COPIES of the Certificate and marks sheets of the Under-graduate course.
    (Please enclose the original language version and the translated version of the Certificates and Marks sheets duly attested by the Ministry of Higher Education/concerned Embassies).
  • 2 COPIES of the High School/10+2 Certificate.
    (Please enclose the original language version and the translated version of the Certificates and Marks sheets duly attested by the Ministry of Higher Education/concerned Embassies).
  • Original NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) obtained from the the Institute/University where the candidate last studied if such a course was pursued in India.
  • 2 SETS of all pages of Passport of the candidate. (Including empty pages).
  • One Passport size photograph of the candidate.

Step-wise Admission Process

Step 1

  • Pay non-refundable Registration-cum-Prospectus fee (as stipulated) through a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “DIRECTOR, UFRO, O.U.” from any Nationalized Indian Banks, payable at Hyderabad.
  • Collect the application form from the Office of UFRO, O.U.

Note: If any other person is applying on behalf of the foreign student, the application form shall be accepted only after submission of valid & genuine authorization letter on the bearer /applicant’s name. The applicant / the bearer shall produce a copy of residential proof, identity proof and genuine contact number. Sent to this office emails with a copy to the authorizer.

Step 2

  • Fill up the provisional admission form.
  • Submit it along with the following enclosures
    • Registration-cum-Prospectus fee in the form of demand draft.
    • 2 copies of High School/10+2 Certificate/ Undergraduate course/ Post-graduate course/Ph.D. course, whichever is applicable. (Please enclose the original language version and the translated version of the certificates and marks sheet duly attested by the Ministry of Higher Education/concerned Embassies.)
    • 2 sets of all pages of Passport of the candidate. (including empty pages).
    • One passport size photograph of the candidate.

Step 3

  • Obtain the Provisional Admission Letter from the Office of UFRO, O.U. for obtaining the student / research visa.

Note: In case of Ph.D. admissions, the candidate has to submit the application for obtaining research visa (available at UFRO, O.U.) in eight sets in the office of UFRO, OU. It is Mandatory to obtain the signature of the Registrar, O.U. on certificate of affiliation.

Step 4

  • Submit the Provisional Admission letter to the Indian Embassy in the respective country for seeking a student visa/research visa endorsed to Osmania University.

Note: PIOs/Children of the workers working in the Gulf Countries students do not require a visa.

Step 5

  • Pay non-refundable Registration-cum-Prospectus fee (as stipulated) through a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “DIRECTOR, UFRO, O.U.” from any Nationalized Indian Banks, payable at Hyderabad.
  • Collect the application form from the Office of UFRO, O.U.

Step 6

  • Submit the original final admission letter along with the original certificates of the qualifying examination in the college allotted.
  • Take Bonafide certificate from the College, submit at the FRRO’s office and obtain valid Residential Permit.
  • Submit a copy of RP at the College and at UFRO, O.U.
  • Submit a copy of it in the office of UFRO, O.U. immediately after obtaining it and whenever RP is extended.

Note: The candidate will not be considered for final admission without original certificates and payment of required fees. The original certificates will be returned to the students immediately after making an endorsement to this effect.
