  1. Meeting with Foreign Students: Office of the International Affairs (Formerly UFRO) conducts interaction session with foreign students held on 03.02.2025.

  1. Meeting with Nizam College Principal: This meeting is convened on 4th February, 2025 at Directors chamber, Office of the International Affairs, OU about the student’s grievance. As per the issues represented by the foreign students studying in Nizam College under UG/PG courses (Copy enclosed). It is resolved to take the decision in the General Body Meeting by the Principal, Nizam College regarding the charges collected Rs.500/- for bonafide certificates and bonafide certificate as per the procedure by taking 3 months time. It is resolved to conduct in 15th February, 2025 tentatively backlog examinations (Decision by the administration) and conduct semester exams after joining the UG courses keeping 180 days span between semesters. Resolved to open a Grievance cell specially for foreign students and the remittances of the tuition fee is adjusted against the electricity bill of the Nizam College students Hostel wing allotted at Foreign Students Boys Hostel at Tarnaka from October 2023 to continuation till end.

  1. Meeting with University P.G. College Secunderabad Principal and Vice Principal: This meeting is convened on 5th February, 2025 in Directors chamber, Office of the International Affairs, OU about the student’s grievance. As per the issues represented by the foreign students studying in University P.G. College under UG courses (not conducting French Classes) – Principal and Vice Principal also agreed to arrange classes for French. OIA requested to the principal and vice principal to arrange the grievance cell for foreign students at University P.G. College, Secunderabad.

  1. ICCR: Mr. Pardeep Kumar, ICCR Director, Bangalore division visited the Office of the International Affairs (OIA), OU, on 03-12-2025, and we had a healthy discussion about increasing the total number of students from ICCR and grievances OIA conference hall.

  1. Orientation Programme and Inauguration of OIA, OU: The Orientation Programme and Inauguration of the new Office of International Affairs (OIA) building, located in the OUSIS Building, Osmania University, was conducted on 14th November 2025 at the Conference Hall of the Office of International Affairs. The Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kumar Molugaram, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Officials from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) also participated in the programme and interacted with the newly admitted batch of foreign students.

  1. Five Day Certificate Course: Office of the International Affairs, OU (OIA) in collaboration with Human Capital Development Centre (HCDC), OU organized “Osmania University Rejuvenation of Skills Series (OURS) – 13 – Five Day Public Speaking Skills and Intensive Leadership Bootcamp” for exclusive foreign national students pursuing their graduation at Osmania University organized from 17th – 21st March, 2025 at e-Classroom, HCDC Office, CFRD Building, OU Campus from 2.00 pm to 5.15 pm. Prof. B. Vijaya, Director, OIA, OU, Prof. C.V. Ranjani, Director, HCDC, OU, Dr. Nageshwer Rao Amanchi, Joint Director, OIA, OU, Dr. M. A. Hammed, Joint Director, OIA, OU and Dr. P. Muralidhar Reddy, Coordinator, HCDC, OU and Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Ph.D. students from different Campus & Constituent colleges attended the workshop. The main objective of the program is to build proficiency in public speaking which helps them to hone their skills in facing challenges in lives. In today’s evolving economy, organizations need exceptional leaders who are confident decision-makers, global thinkers, and skilled strategists. This five day bootcamp provides a practical and transformative path to personal and professional growth. The five day program provided an in-depth interactive learning experience on: 1) Mastering Public Speaking & Overcoming Fear. 2) Speaking with Clarity & Persuading the Audience. 3) Leadership Communication & Building Influence. 4) Thinking on Your Feet & Handling Challenges. 5) Leadership in Action & The Road Ahead.

  1. Meeting For Introducing Diploma Courses: A meeting conducted on 19.03.2025 at Directors chamber, Office of the International Affairs, OU with Prof. A. Krishnaiah (Dean, University College of Engineering, OU) had a healthy discussion about diploma courses, Eligibility, Evaluation Criteria, Basic fee structure and research scholars allotments.

  1. OIA Website Launch at Tagoore Auditorium: On March 5th, 2025, a significant milestone was achieved with the launch of our new AI-enabled website at the Tagoore Auditorium. The event was graced by the Vice Chancellor, with the esteemed presence of the Registrar, OSD, and other distinguished members of the University and affiliated college staff, totaling approximately 1000 attendees. This innovative website is fully integrated with artificial intelligence and boasts several advanced features, including:
  • 24/7 Chatbot AI based: Available at any time to assist users with inquiries and support.
  • Google Translate inbuilt: Ensuring accessibility and ease of use for a global audience.
  • Search Engine Optimization: A cutting-edge tool to help users with engine optimization-related searches and information.

This launch marks an important step forward in enhancing the user experience and accessibility of our online platforms.

  1. Iran: Mr. Mahdi Shahrokhi (Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran) and Ms. Fatima Naqvi (Public Relations Officer (Iran, Hyderabad) have met with the staff of the Office of the International Affairs (OIA), OU and Vice chancellor at VC lodge on 19-03-2025 and had a healthy discussion on issues of Mr. Malek Hassanpour (2017-2018 batch), Iranian.

DAAD – iHED – Kashmir: DAAD Workshop, Sher-e-Kashmir University, Kashmir, a delegation from the University attended the DAAD workshop held at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Kashmir, which witnessed participation from prominent institutions including IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani and other esteemed universities across the country. The key areas identified for Colloboration, Internships & International Exposure.

San Jose State University, Washington, USA: The delegates of the San Jose State University, Washington, USA — Dr. Sheryl Ehrman, Dean of Engineering, SJSU and Mr. Aditya Sawant, International Cooperation Coordinator (ICC), SJSU – visited the University on 15th April 2025. A meeting was held in the Executive Committee Room of the Vice-Chancellor, where a warm welcome was extended by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kumar Molugaram, to the high-level delegation. The Key areas are academic collaboration.

  1. British Deputy High Commissioner: The delegates of the British Deputy High Commission—Mr. Gareth Wynn Owen, British Deputy High Commissioner, and Mr. Piyush Awasthi, Senior Trade Adviser (Technology & Education), British High Commission—visited the University on 17th June 2025. A meeting was held in the Executive Committee Room of the Vice-Chancellor, where a warm welcome was extended by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kumar Molugaram, to the high-level delegation. The meeting witnessed a healthy and productive discussion on current academic & research initiatives and emphasizing the importance of expanding international collaborations with reputed institutions in the United Kingdom.

  1. KING’S COLLEGE LONDON: A meeting is convened on 20th September, 2025 in the director’s chamber, OIA, OU with Ms. Debosmita, (Senior International Recruitment Advisor, India based out of Mumbai, “KING’S COLLEGE LONDON’ for students global exchange, with reference to the email received on 21st August, 2025.

  1. DAAD – Germany – “Research in Germany Day – Ph.D. in Focus” organized at University College of Arts and Social Sciences, Osmania University, Hyderabad, on 23rd September, 2025 with delivering a special address, Ms. Amita Desai, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hyderabad, highlighted the growing academic and research partnerships between India and Germany. Other delegates from DAAD are Ms. Kavitha Somasundaram, Regional Officer, DAAD Information Center, Chennai and Ms. Karishma Kumari, Ph.D. student at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology, Germany, who joined online. Prof. C. Kaseem and Dr. Ramakrishna Kancha are also share their views.

University of York, UK: Prof. Sue Westwood, Head of the York Law School, UK and Ms. Akansha Prisca, Senior Recruitment Advisor (South Asia), who is based in India, has visited OIA, OU on 17th November, 2025. The discussions were aimed at strengthening academic ties between Osmania University and York University, UK. The key areas identified for potential collaboration include Law, Business Management, and Psychology.

  1. University of West Bohemia, Czech Republic: Dr. Jan Michalik, Vice Dean for International Relations and Communication and Inq. Katerina Newton, Head of International Relations have visited OIA, OU on 26th November, 2025. The discussions were aimed at strengthening academic collaborations ties between Osmania University and University of West Bohemia.

Auburn University, USA: The delegates of Auburn University – Dr. George Flowers, Dean of Graduate School, Dr. Bob Boyd (Professor and Assistant Provost for Institutional Effectiveness), Dr. Murali Dhanasekaran (Professor and Director of International Programs, Harrison College of Pharmacy and Janaki Alavalapati (Dean of College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment) have visited on 08-02-2025 OIA, O.U. hosted by Osmania University, office in the Executive committee room of the Vice-Chancellor and had a healthy discussion on Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). MoU documents signed on same day.
