For over nine decades, Osmania University has been marching ahead in the service of the nation through its fundamental missions of teaching / learning, research and extension. The University has been re-accredited with highest rating of ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India in recognition of its outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge. The University has been conferred the coveted status of University with Potential for Excellence(UPE) by the University Grants Commission (UGC) this year 2012 making it one of the top five Universities in the Country.

Osmania University is a home away from home to nearly 4000 international students from 78 countries. We have a University Foreign Relations Office as a single window agency that assists in acquainting and disseminating information about various courses of study, admission of international students into various courses offered by Osmania University and opportunities for self-development. It provides a range of services in helping the foreign students find accommodation and offering remedial instruction in English.
